Before your first shift

Welcome to the crew. Before you start work, know these four things by heart.

  1. Who to call. Your supervisor’s cell number, and 911 for any emergency. Save both in your phone now.
  2. Where the first aid kit and AED are. Walk to them on your first day.
  3. Where to go in an emergency. The muster point is where everyone gathers so we can count heads.
  4. How to report a problem. Any hazard, injury or near miss gets reported the same shift. Reporting a near miss is never a mark against you.
